The Final Gala of the Polish Edition of the Galileo Masters competition was held on the 4th of December 2015 at the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park. The event featured a panel on space technology development in Poland, Europe and China.
To all regional editions 515 proper proposals were submitted in total, which is the best ever outcome of the Galileo Masters competition. 64 ideas for applications, devices and technologies utilizing satellite navigation were submitted to the Polish Edition. Such large number of ideas was not received in any other region participating to the competition. This is a huge success for Poland and it is also proof that there is a lot of potential among Polish students, entrepreneurs and academics.
The important news on launching the first Polish space accelerator (space3.ac) was announced at the event. A four party agreement was signed between the City of Gdańsk, the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, Black Pearls VC and Blue Dot Solutions. The accelerator aims to support outstanding projects utilizing satellite data.
